In order to provide a SAP Assessment the necessary information required is listed below to ensure that the report is accurate.
Design emission rate calculation
Target Emission Rate, (TER).
• Full property/site address including the postcode.
• Site block/plan for orientation purposes.
• Elevation drawings and floor plans. Including overall dimensions.
• Section drawings and construction details/specifications including proposed various insulation materials to be used.
• Proposed glazing and frames, air gap, argon gas filled, low E glass etc.
• Number of light fittings to be installed including number of energy efficient light fittings to be used (minimum 25%)
• Siting of boiler, boiler manufacturer, boiler model and proposed minimum efficiency rating.
• Proposed heating method including heat delivery and controls, plus insulation proposed for pipes in unheated places, also for pipes within one metre of a hot water storage vessel if applicable.
• Details of any heat recover or mechanical ventilation if proposed.
• Any Heat pumps, Solar, PhotoVoltaic, Micro CHP units proposed.
As built. Dwelling Emission Rate, (DER).
• Any changes to the construction design specification details to be notified i.e. Insulation material changed, blockwork, glazing details changed etc. and if applicable any changes to hot water cylinder capacity or cylinder insulation.
• Full details of actual boiler installed.
• Air Pressure Test Certificate. Provided by an ATTMA authorised contractor.
An Energy Performance Certificate will be issued on completion of the build, provided that evidence/certificates are supplied by the builder or accredited person to accompany the SAP Assessment. These to include evidence of site inspections, an internal/external lighting schedule, accredited details, commissioning certificates and the information provided to the new owner.
